Ceremonial Groundbreaking, Future Site of Collier County Sports Complex

All American Games and Collier County to Hold Ceremonial Groundbreaking on Monday, December 18 to Commemorate the Future Site of a Year-Round Multi-Sport Complex in Collier County.


A ceremonial groundbreaking event to commemorate the future site of the Collier County amateur sports complex, a multi-sport facility for year-round use, and the planned future home of All American Games’ youth football FBU National Championship games.


Scheduled attendees include: Mr. Ronald G. Rice, City Gate; Collier County Commissioners and dignitaries; student-athletes of Special Olympics Florida – Collier County; Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau staff; All American Games executive staff; U.S. Army All-Americans and Naples natives Tyler Byrd, George Takacs and Oscar Shadley.


Monday, December 18, 2017, 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.

10:30 a.m. – Requested media arrival/set-up: 10:30 a.m.

11:00 a.m. – Press conference, statements, brief question-answer session. Light refreshments served.
11:20 a.m. – Ceremonial groundbreaking at site* located behind Fairfield Inn & Suites.

*Ceremonial groundbreaking site is not the actual planned sports complex site, as land acquisition has not yet been finalized. A formal groundbreaking at the complex site will be held later at the time work begins.
